Build Guild

We're building tools that help people protect themselves, create things, and connect with each other. Everything here is open. You don't need permission to start — just read, sign, and pick something to work on.

This isn't a tech company. It's a community building expansion packs for reality. We follow nature's pattern: everything connects, nothing exists in isolation, and the system gets stronger every time someone contributes.

Who builds here

💻

Coders

HTML, CSS, JavaScript. No frameworks, no build step. If you can read a web page, you can build one here. Every page follows the same template.

🎨

Designers

Dark theme, big buttons, mobile-first. Our design system is locked — you just apply it. Screenshots of every finished page are in the blueprint.

📝

Writers & Counselors

Case studies, legal templates, educational content, community moderation. The Guardian Forge needs people who understand human problems, not just code.

🔍

Testers & Reporters

Use the tools. Find what's broken. Report it. Every bug you find makes the system stronger. No coding needed — just attention to detail.

📢

Connectors

Know people who need these tools? Know communities that would benefit? Help us reach the people who need this most.

The Agreement

Read these principles. If they match how you want to work, sign at the bottom. This covers both the builder commitment and the contributor license — one signature, done.

8 Principles

1
Build what works. No fluff, no hype. If it doesn't solve a real problem for a real person, it doesn't ship.
2
Follow the standard. Every page, component, and API follows the Gold Standard. Read it before you build.
3
Keep it simple. If an 8-year-old blind person can't use it, it's wrong. Big buttons. Few words. No clutter.
4
Ship and improve. Done is better than perfect. Get it live, get feedback, make it better.
5
Own your work. You keep ownership of what you create. The project gets a license to use it. Your name stays on it permanently.
6
Protect the mission. Don't use private data, protected marks, or insider knowledge to build competing products.
7
XP is reputation. Every contribution earns XP. XP has no monetary value — it's your track record, permanently recorded.
8
Leave clean. If you ever leave, your work and credit stay. Access gets revoked. No drama. Clean exit.

How We Build

Everything follows one pattern. Learn this and you can build anything on the platform. This is a condensed version — the full document lives in the repo at DNA/GOLD_STANDARD_TEMPLATE.md.

🛠️ Get the code

The whole platform is one repo. Clone it, and every doc referenced in the missions below (Gold Standard, MASTER_REGISTRY.json, the audit tool) is inside it.

One script loads everything

Every page includes one line before </body>. It auto-loads the header, sidebar, toolbar, footer, auth, notifications — everything.

<script src="/components/cr-toolbar.js" defer></script>

Three meta tags identify every page

The header reads these to know what module this is, what color to use, and what to show in the breadcrumb.

<meta name="cr-module" content="GUARDIAN FORGE"> <meta name="cr-page-title" content="Evidence Snap"> <meta name="cr-module-color" content="#2ecc71">

Dark theme, always

Background: #0a0a0f. Cards: #12121a. Text: #e8e8f0. No light mode. No exceptions.

Nothing navigates away

Every interaction is a panel switch or a widget overlay. The user never leaves the page. Buttons on the right side switch content in the center.

Phone first

44px touch targets. No horizontal scroll. Test on a 375px screen before calling it done.

No frameworks

Vanilla HTML, CSS, JavaScript. No React, no npm, no build step. Copy-paste deployable. If you can write a web page, you can build here.

Demo mode is the sales pitch

Non-signed-in users see sample data that shows the tool at its best. Never a "sign up to continue" wall. The demo sells itself.

The layout every page shares

┌─────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ [ticker scrolling across top] │ ├─────────────────────────────────────────┤ │ MODULE NAME › Sub-page [sign-in] │ ├────┬──────────────────────────┬─────────┤ │ │ │ PAGE │ │ L │ CONTENT AREA │ TOOLS │ │ E │ (panels switch here) │ (4-7) │ │ F │ │ │ │ T │ │ │ ├────┴──────────────────────────┴─────────┤ │ [Map] [Slot] [ARAYA] [Slot] [Account] │ └─────────────────────────────────────────┘

You're looking at it right now. This page follows the Gold Standard. The buttons on the right switch panels. The toolbar at the bottom is the same everywhere. Build your page the same way.

Open Missions

Pick something that matches your skills. Claim it in Team Chat (button below), finish it, submit it, earn XP. Start with an easy one.

Easy — start here

Test 5 pages on your phone

Easy

Visit 5 pages on mobile. Screenshot anything broken — buttons too small, text cut off, things that don't work. Report in comms. +15 XP per bug.

Write a case study

Easy

Know someone who's been through family court? Interview them (with permission). Write it up. We'll publish it on Guardian Forge. +50 XP.

Review the Gold Standard

Easy

Read DNA/GOLD_STANDARD_TEMPLATE.md. Find anything confusing or missing? Tell us. Improving docs is real contribution. +20 XP.

Medium — some experience helpful

Fix a page that fails the audit

Medium

Run the audit tool. Pick a page graded C or lower. Add the missing meta tags, fix the toolbar, make it pass. +100 XP.

Add missing page titles to the site map

Medium

Some pages in the MASTER_REGISTRY.json are missing descriptions. Open each one, write a one-line description, update the registry. +75 XP.

Hard — for experienced builders

Build a new module from the Gold Standard

Hard

Copy the template. Pick a problem. Build a full module with right-side tools, demo data, API endpoint, and mechanics log. +500 XP.

Wire Work Mode to GitHub commits

Hard

The browser-based code editor (Work Mode) can read files but commits are broken. Fix the pipeline: UI → github-commit.mjs → GitHub API. +300 XP.

More missions get posted as the team grows. Check back or ask in comms.

Forge Masters

The Commander can't hold every brand alone — and shouldn't. Each brand below is a Forge. A Forge Master owns one: keeps it alive, posts about it, finds its first users, makes it better. Pick one and claim it. You don't need to be technical for most of these — you need to care and show up. This is how we stop being a one-man ship.

⚓ How claiming works

Tap Claim this Forge on the one that pulls you. It opens the team chat with your claim pre-written. Commander confirms, you're the Forge Master. Start with one duty from the list — done is better than perfect. Every Forge claimed is weight off the Commander's back.

🛡️ Guardian Forge — Parents fighting for their kids

Open

What it is: The heart of the mission — tools and resources for parents in family court / CPS / custody. Home of the 150+ Resource Directory.

A Forge Master here: keeps the Resource Directory growing (add groups people mention), shares one resource a day in support groups, collects case-study stories, welcomes scared new parents. No coding needed — this is a people role.

🔥 Reality Forge — Survival to sovereignty

Open

What it is: The starting line — getting your feet under you, the practical "how do I survive this" tools.

A Forge Master here: curates survival resources, tests the tools as a real beginner, writes plain-language guides, flags anything confusing. Beginner-friendly.

🎨 Creation Forge — Make things with AI (Song / Code / Book)

Open

What it is: Song Forge, Code Forge, Book Forge — the "build something" tools.

A Forge Master here: makes demo content that shows what each tool does (a song, a page, a chapter), posts the results, gathers feature requests. Creative role.

📡 Signal Forge — Get the word out (Music + Broadcast)

Open

What it is: The music engine + broadcast tools — how the message travels.

A Forge Master here: runs the per-brand posting schedule (one post per brand every other day), grows the playlist, manages the social autopilot. Social-media role — high impact for funneling people in.

💰 Wealth Forge — Products + revenue (keep the ship funded)

Open · Urgent

What it is: The store, the products, the money rails. The Forge that keeps the lights on.

A Forge Master here: gets products listed and priced, tests checkout end-to-end, points funnels at the products, helps Commander with urgent listings (van, household items). Sales / ops role — directly helps survival.

🎭 Character Forge — Growth, XP, the human game

Open

What it is: The XP/quest/Superpowers layer — what keeps people coming back and leveling up.

A Forge Master here: designs quests, welcomes newcomers, runs the onboarding, keeps morale up. Community-builder role.

♾️ Infinity Forge — ARAYA OS + the big vision

Open

What it is: ARAYA OS, the interface, the spatial-computing future — where this all heads.

A Forge Master here: tests the OS interface on every device, designs the future UX, dreams big and writes it down. For the visionary / designer.

Not sure which Forge?

That's fine. Start in Community Chat, say what you're good at and what you care about, and we'll find your Forge together. The only wrong move is staying on the shore. Every hand on deck is one less thing the Commander carries alone.

Talk to the Team

We're a small crew right now. Here's how to reach us and how we stay in sync.

🤖

ARAYA

The AI that knows the whole codebase. Ask her anything — how things work, where files are, what to build next.

💬

Team Chat — the main room

Where the whole crew actually talks. Claim missions here, ask questions, share what you're building. Ryan's already in. Sign in with Google and jump in #General.

✉️

DM the Commander

Need Darrick directly? DM him in Team Chat — it texts his phone. For things that don't need the whole channel.

How we work

Sessions. Each work session starts with a boot (read the terrain, check what's broken) and ends with a bootdown (log what you did, post it to the board).

Bootdowns go to the board. When you're done working, write a short summary of what you built, what's still broken, and what should happen next. Everyone reads these in the morning.

Grab tasks in the morning. Check the missions panel. Check the bootdown board. Claim something and go.
